Week 4, The 4-6 Week Project

3.21.11 Today we met Camryn and Caden at Pretend City, an incredible kids museum right here in Irvine for all imaginative play.  You could spend hours here and it warms Mama's heart to see you having so much fun.  You love the water tables, grocery store, and orchard!  We are so fortunate to have so many fun places to explore together here in Orange County...
3.22.11  Oh, sweet Bella!  How lucky you are to have had your "Bella" take care of you every Monday and Tuesday last year while Mama worked part-time as a 4th grade teacher.  You and her have such a precious relationship and she is one of your favorite playmates!  The house roars with your laughter when she is in our home as you sing songs, play cars, or whatever else you ask her to do...It is amazing to see the effect you have on her as her darling grandson.  You certainly are the apple of her eye and she would do anything for you.
3.22.11 For the past 6 weeks, I have taken you to a local music class through the City of Irvine.  It ended up being a very interesting experience as I saw you react to a "structured environment."  I was surprised to see that your favorite part of each class wasn't the musical aspect, but the "clean up" songs!  Whenever we took out different instruments and had to return them to your sweet teacher, Ms. Karen,  you almost held your breath each time just to be able to follow this direction and please your teacher--it was very sweet.  We learned some fun new songs like "Alice the Camel" and a cute version of "Shoo Fly," played with instruments like drums and the harmonica, and learned how to participate in circle time.
3.23.11  You look right at home at Papa's desk at Sage!  The mind and astute memory of a toddler is simply amazing and you know this building now before we even go inside.  When we pull up in our car, you say, "Papa's Office...Uncle Mitch too" since they are so fortunate to work together!  Tonight we brought our delicious "Supper Swap" meal from the Hartmans to Papa at work since he had class at USC.  You were too enthralled with Papa's computer (and the movies he can access) to eat much dinner tonight.
3.24.11  Here you are with GAVIE.  You truly light up every time you see him, whereas you want nothing to do with most peers in a large group setting.  He is definitely the "friend" you see the most since Auntie and I hang out with college friends on a weekly basis and of course, Petar family gatherings.  Mama specifically prays that you will always be best buds.  What a blessing to do life with the Pierce Family!
3.25.11  One of your favorite games is something you've coined, "Rock a Baby!"  You frequently ask for this whenever Papa is home and it basically consists of Papa throwing you on the pillows of our bed as he sings a fun version of that song.  Your playful, silly spirit is such a large part of your personality but is usually reserved for close family members.  I adore this about you!
3.26.11 One of our final outings as a family of three was to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach.  You and your Papa love this place and you can name several of the species in the tanks here!  It's also no surprise that your first favorite movie was "Finding Nemo."  You have an intense love and curiosity for observing nature (just like Papa did from a young age) and are entertained by such simple things as searching for the moon in the night sky or collecting leaves on a nature walk.
